derrick you didnt get the 7100s or fox 2.0 shocks? your going to regret that...those OME (same ones i have) are only 1 inch longer than a stock shock. that def. will be your limiting factor on your flex. that RTE is really a great kit, thats the only reason i suggest getting the best shocks you can. where do you plan on working sunday? i wouldnt mind helping you put all those goodies on.

Ahh totally agree with richard on this. Maybe the DI suspension deals with those shocks better. But if not I would look into another set of shocks. I also would look into those long travel mounts. I really like them.

acutally its worse. however more options are out there over the d2. you could get lowered shock mounts in the rear from rovers north or EE(best), heck you could even go with a set of long travel rancho 9000s rather than the OME shocks. btw, with that set up, your going to want to have the rear A arm extension block from RTE.

whoa whoa whoa.........ive done ALL my homework guys!!!!
I spent hours on the phone with a guy name John at Rovertym and he suggested to take steps. Yeah I wanted 7100's but thats another 750 bucks. Everyone knows a 4x4 is always a work-in-progress. This is only stage one. Once I sell my other truck the money from it will fund stage two.
Bilstein 7100s are in the future though!!!!!, but if you want to buy them for me I'll gladly put them on now....ha!

I thought that but i was told by the RTE guy that I'll be fine. You haven't mentioned a new rear U-Joint style driveshaft yet. RTE is super helpful so my plans are to trail test to see what other mods I need.....Richard maybe we can run over bays to test the truck out.

they look good ..... well i held the yard stick to them and they measure about 32inches ... by eye balling it i dont think ill have to do much trimming if any at all.
my stock springs have 120000 miles on them so i might get about 4 inches of lift from the height i have now.
but who's counting inches anyways

I just love a "not a Jeep" build-up, even though I'd probably be considered a Jeep-o-phile. Keep it coming, looks like you've got a major start!

youll at least get 3.5 out of the RTE lift, and i bet it comes out to about 3.75, that seems where they settle. im not so jealous...yet...just watch your back once you get a RTE front bumper/sliders/rear bumper

today (sunday) i worked on my truck a little bit but had to stop because of rain.
i got the front finished. i started on the rear and its about 80% easier, which is what i assumed.
i got the passenger side rear about finished and then ill move to the driver side rear to finish it.
heres some progress pictures......i LOVE it

yeah im pretty happy with the results so far. its been a slow process. 120000 miles of wear on stuff has made disassemble very time consuming.
ive gained 4 inches from the new springs....
i measured the old tires at 27 inches and the new tires measure out to 32 inces.....so...
add 4 inches of lift plus 2.5 inches from new tires equals 6.5 inches (roughly) of new clearance......SWEET
depending on the weather i should be done with it tomorrow.
