As far as the roll bar goes, I guess that's why the factory calls 'em sport bars...lack of liability....makes ya wonder.

I read a report that came out in 1989 that tested the Jeep and samurai of that year, and they found that for the front passenger the samurai had a stronger cage. They said the samurai had a better survivability rate than the YJ. This was in the US spec'd Samurai as the overseas units had fold down windsheilds and were not tied into the targa top or roll bar.
