Im having a bit of trouble with the steering on my XJ...when its on a rough trail the tires like to jump and pull alot.

Would it help if I added an extra damper to the tie rod or had 2 dampers on the drag link?

Seems like its pretty easy to install a second damper on the tie rod...can anyone tell me if this helps much?

Thanks

A steering stabalizer really only masks the problems. I would upgrade the steering first. There are several companies that sell this. I would be that your stock stuff is worn out.

Start by having the engine off and the ignition on. Have someone wiggle the steering wheel from side to side while you look to see what is and is not moving.

Do what they said. I ran without a damper for several years with no problems.

Look closely at the track bar, too.
