I bought a new Gorilla #3000 winch for my ATV a few months ago, with the synthetic rope.
The first one that I got, the engage/disengage knob would turn to far and actually disengage in the engage position. I called the factory and they send me a shipping label to return the winch, and they sent me a new one. This last weekend we went to Brimstone, the first time using the winch, and the engage/disengage broke on this one. I called the factory and they gave me a hard time, saying that no one else in the field was having this problem. They finally agreed to repair/replace the winch if I would sent it back, my $. Has anyone else bought a Gorilla winch before. What is your experience?

Thanks, Johnny

Hmm havent heard anything about the Gorilla winches. I have heard some horror stories about the Viper winches on ebay. they seem to be made really cheaply. Hope you get it worked out or at least get your money back.

From my past expierence, ive burnt up 2 superwinches (2000lbs) and have yet to have any issues with my old warn (2000lb) or current warn 2500lb i have.

I've put my 2500lb warn through heck, and it comes out fine on the other side every time, no kidding. I'm amazed this thing still operates. It has pulled me out of the craziest situations, works flawlessly under water, mud, etc etc. Love it.
