so i evidently paid 219 for a driveshaft with 3/4 ton splines that failed before the 1310 joint as some of you saw. they're totally unwilling to replace it despite they're warranty. they said you have to buy their warranty for the warranty before they'll do anything about it other than try and sell me a new one and got mad when i asked why i would do that when i could have the same shaft built locally or by myself for a fraction of the cost. lesson learned.

I always thought it was crazy to buy name brand shafts. I guess that's for people that don't have access to a local d-shaft shop like Bowmans.

back when i got it, i didn't know how easy they are to make. and i'd only heard bad things about the local shop were i'm from. but i'm all for do it yourself now.

I would use High angle Driveshafts. They make good stuff.

If anybody around the Morristown area needs driveshaft work, I highly reccomend Ferguson's in Roe Junction - just past the turnoff for the landfill on the left (from Hwy 160). He's in the phonebook - modifies or builds any d/s, and does axle work too. The rear CV d/s on my TJ is his handiwork, if you wanna check it out. I am well pleased with it & the cost!
LOL - because of my mistake he had to work on it twice - I gave him the length based on my calculations - before I had installed my SYE. Then, because my Teraflex extreme short shaft SYE kit is 3" shorter than a standard SYE, I had to get Ferguson to make it 3" longer. DOH!
