use your stock rear springs, and get some 63" chevy rear springs for the rear

I think I have seen those tires before. Oh wait they used to be mine. Nice looking man. Glad to see them on a rig finally.

Dino1967
02-10-2006, 01:08 PM
the knobs just barely touch the outside fender at bumper and bottom of door dont think gonna need a whole lot of lift im guessing a 3" or 4" will do. i dont want to get to high to make it top heavy probable a 3"

body lift + sawzall = low center of gravity & no tire rub

I think he already has some lift cause he is sprung over. I may be wrong but I think he does.

Dino1967
02-11-2006, 01:13 PM
the rear has the level kit (shackles) on back front looks stock the springs are on top the axles if that what blazer dude means that is minus motor weight got that in the works what is 63"chevy springs on the rear how much lift price etc. :?: if you put them on the rear what about the front :?: i want this thing to be hot but not (hot rod look rear in the air) for drag race lol

pplblazerdude
02-11-2006, 03:01 PM
I think those came as spring under. Yours is now spring over. If this is true for them then you already have like a 3 inch lift or so. Thas a cheap way to lift them. Jeff here has a runner on 35's with I think 4 inch springs and spring over. I may be totally wrong. If I am I hope someone chimes in and says so but I think Im right.

I've heard that several yota guys will put the rear springs in the front. It moves the front axle about 2-3" forward and helps clear the cab better.

BTW: use a sawsaw and cut for clearance. The lower you keep it the better flex and handling it will have.

blue project part 1 :: 1174345750.pbw slideshow by dino1967 - Photobucket
i still like alot
i have my chevies
and most of my propane kit i still have to make another adapter plate
waiting on the rest of my high steer to get here one box is here the other one is almost here
im going to rebuild the knuckles while i have it apart (still have to order)
i have my ifs box and mounting plate
its slowly coming together
they cut out our overtime so i have time to work on it but didnt have all my parts together and ready so im just waiting till i have more funds
wished i would have just concentrated on one thing at a time instead of trying to get all my parts together and do at one time i can install my other saturn seat

1st on the list is finish my propane kit and get running
2nd better cross member
3rd chevies in rear and rear up front
4th high steer and rebulid knuckles and weld front and rear vent rear ends
5th extend brake lines and maybe disc in rear and 1 ton booster
6th drive shafts
dont know if ill have it done by sothern shine crawl or not but that is my goal
