Flu

zinny body had this flu that's going around? I was down with it last Tues, Wed and thursday, the flu simptoms are gone but I have been dead tired every day. Just trying to see if anyone else had a similar experience, I'm usually raring to go from 8:00 am til 12:00 or 1:00 am. How long does this thing take to go away?

i've been 99 degrees or better since monday. i'm mobile, but i don't feel right either. thought it was a cold, guess not :cry:

X2.I had strep throat Thur-Fri,got feeling better and went back to work Fri,and Im paying for it now.Bad cough,chest congestion,101 temp,body aches,chills(I'm setting here wrapped in a blanket now).To say I feel terrible would mean I have improved. Must be pretty serious I dont even want to eat. :shock:

ive been sick with something for a 3 weeks now, first strep then felt like flu symptoms, no i feel like a sinus infection..not good,always weak also.not fun at work. :shock:

Started gettin sick at last friday nights show (sweet sixteen dance).

Then i went on to host 2 kids parties that saturday, then
later on that night i did a F&D Dance (300+ ppl) in a room were the temp. was only in
the 50's :(
On top of that my setup up was in front of a window. :(

After That is when it hit !! .. fever.. chills ... etc :(

I stayed in bed all day sunday (go colts!!).

Had to do a small event monday night at ETSU.

Next day i went to the doc..... You guested it .. it was THE FLU :(

Wed. stayed in bed.

Thur. i started feeling a little better.
That night i went and did a middle school dance (400+ kids in a hot
cafeteria)..
The bad news is that it was a long cold load-in and out. :(

Friday was a 13th BDParty.

Now it's saturday and i'm still sick, but doing better. :(

I'll be hosting 2 kids parties today, then i'll be doing the GHS winter dance tonight.

Round two, I have been feeling o.k. since wed, yesterday I was feeling 100%, this morning was o.k., I had to go to church at 12:00 thats when it hit... again... fever, chills, vomiting, aches, even my skin hurts.

i found a remedy but expensive...$9 bucks for like 6 treatments.lol i went to foodcity but sure walmart or anywhere like that has it..its called Zicam Flu and Cold..mix with your drink stuff does taste horrible but does work i feel totally different than i did..like 60% change..you guys should try it.

Figured that with time it would start to go away, because there is really nothing for the flu, thay have no cure for it, but for you Pitch it still lingers. As a pharmacy technician, I can reccomend a few things, but remedies all depend on which one makes you feel the best. Zicam works good but expensive, Alkaseltzer is really good, we have had hundreds of people take it and felt a whole lot better,(the key to taking it is to get the orginial, it always taste better), but you have to take it every four hours. So all I can suggest is this, take a couple of Tynol, ibprofen, or Naproxen Sodium, drink plenty of fluids,(if you can keep them down), if you cant find some imodium ad that will help the stomach, rest, and take a cold remedy that makes you feel better, the one that seems too work the best is Alkaseltzer. But it will go away, you wont be able to get back to your comlete old self when you think you feel better, It is going to take upwards of a least a week to be 100% after you think you fell better.

P.S. if you conggested or think you are a little, go and get some Mucinex D, its behind the counter, its got Pseudophridine in it. But it will knock out congestion fast.

Coming home on Monday from visiting up there, I had a good cold. But it was totally worth being there and getting the cold, I promise you that! :lol: :lol:

I stayed in bed all day Tuesday, had to get back to work Wednesday. Now it's Sunday and I still have the cough/sore throat. I am purposely sitting around and not doing much today either. I think I should be better by the end of this week.

I agree with Geogre, two weeks is about the standard.
