I cut most of the bad places out of mine today but need to know what the best thing to cover them up with is? A lot of the rust also goes right over to where my body mount connects at so I think Ill have to cut it off, then weld the box mount bracket to the new panel I install. Can anyone lend some advice? Greatly appreciated!!!

For a cheap and easy fix use sheet metal from a heating and air place. It's galvanized so won't rust, but it's a little thin too. Seal it down with silicon and pop rivets.
To to it right get some good steel and weld it in.

You need to cut out any of it that is rusty at all. Don't skimp - when in doubt, cut it out. When welding go in a star pattern around the edges about 1/2" of weld at a time do it doesn't get too hot and warp or melt through.

No big deal just cut it out, andweld back in. Paint it very good when you are done.

Good point man, I will make sure to paint everything real good. Would you suggest pressure watching the undercarriage after cutting out and welding everything back in? Theres alot of old mud and strip job mud on it.

I know this is a late reply to this post but when I read "Galvanized", I had to make sure to write that you should never weld Galvanized unless you have very good ventilation and a respirator. I welded it unprotected and got sicker than a dog form the fumes.

If you breath it you need to drink allot of milk to get the poison out.
