Busted 231 case

Looking for a bad tranfercase. I only need the front half to be good and would be best to have a 23 spline input.

Anyone got anything cheap laying around? Maybe trade for some parts i've got laying around?

Yea, thats the plan. I'm actually wanting to get a front half so i can draw up the CAD dimensions to have my own plates made. Who knows...if it works, maybe i'll have a new line to sell :D

I can order the mid shafts already made but i don't think it would be too hard to make the plates.

i got a 231d that has had teh input changed to 23 it came out of my yj what you got to trade teh chain is streched is all that wrong with it

I've got everything that's left from my case, the front half is broke though. You can have it all if you want it, otherwise it's going to scrap.

Justin, I have a mainshaft from one if you want it... I was gonna have it machined for the tailshaft on a doubler, but never found a case...

i've got a main shaft but didn't know if i was going to have it machined or just buy the mid shaft from one of the doubler kit guys.

it has a wider chain it came out of a durango and chris allen changed it over to fit my yj id do some trading on it i got me another yj to build a trail rig from and t need a few things that i can use off a xj

let me know what you might want from my parts list and maybe we can work something out. Only problem would be shipping. You are quite a long way away from me.

Mine's pretty much broke right in the middle, not sure if there's enough left for a doubler or not. If its broke in the middle, i'd say probably not usable for a doubler build. Really only the front output part is cut off when building one.

I looked at what I've got. It's a little worse than what I thought, it's not usable at all.

maybe one of the double guys are better to work with now, but a few years back I tried to get just the shaft, and they would only sell me the whole kit... so I looked at the shaft, and saw that there was plenty of meat where it needed to be splined... and figured that I could send the shaft and a 23 spline input to the machine shop and tell the where to cut and be done with it...

If nothing else, I know you can get Moser to do it for you, it's just easier to explain in-person... but cheap & 2 day turn around is nice... Whoever does it, try to get the splines rolled and not cut, they are stronger this way...

I belive its Mad Rooster that will sell just the mid shaft. I may still do this if i can find a front half and mate it to the D300 thats going in.

Justin try that there, 50 bucks for a 231, and its in charlotte.
