my brother works for pepsi and he gave me a couple of cans of their pepsi and mtn dew throwbacks... these are made with real sugar, not corn syrup...tastes a bit different(better to me) and seems to go down a lot better, not as sticky... they are supposed to be out around the 20th...
sorry for sounding like an ad, i am actually a coke drinker(ex-employee as well) but these are great... coke is supposed to have a kosher for passover coke for jewish peeps(corn products are not allowed) made with sugar, but i have never seen it, but would love to...guess i would need to find a town with a large jewish population...any ideas?

If you ever find yourself in Atlanta, go to the World of Coke. If Coca-Cola makes it (even the stuff they bottle and sell in markets outside the US) you can find it there, in their tasting room.
I find it amusing that Pepsi would release a real sugar beverage, what with so many people jumping on the "Sweetended with Splenda" bandwagon now days. Of course the price of corn (and corn syrup) is sure to go up... between the global food shortage and the multitude of products (edible and otherwise) that rely on corn for production (i.e. ethanol). So a switch back to cane sugar could be a smart business move on their part... regardless of how it tastes.
I recently gave up soft drinks (again) but I might have to try this one... just to see what Im missing.

they do quite a few limited releases, like the different flavored dews over the last few years... these are coming out to stores around the 20th for about 2 months...
I have yet to visit world of coke, but someday i will.... I was a coca-cola service tech for about 6 years out of lexington ky and then pikeville, before leaving to return to school, so I am a pretty hardcore coke addict...lol, and don't like pepsi, but this version is prety good...

I asked my Pepsi guy today and he doesn't know anything about it. Said it might be a regional thing.

I,ve noticed that pepsi and mt.dew are extreamly watered down now. Used to be if you held a pepsi up to the light you could hardly see through it. And mt. Dew is super bad. I,am almost 60 yrs old and a avid pepsi drinker but my girlfriend just bought me 2 cases of each at sams. When its gone i,am done with all of it. Back to water & cool-aid for me. I,ve really noticed cambells soup is watred down alot also.
