Here is a link to a recap of my training trip to Ethiopia for my mission board.

When I went to Malawi(also in Africa) I got to 'wheel a Unimog, Toyota Land Cruiser(their LC is our 4runner) and an Isuzu P/U. We didn't offer training. We just used the personnel who had the skills for driving. Those "prayer bridges" were a little scary.

They should offer this course in the US. Does JAARS do anything to supply mission organizations with vehicles? Or just train them how to use/maintain them?
When I went to Cambodia we needed a 4x4 with a snorkel just to navigate some of the city streets. The city center and palace square were paved or cobblestone, but anything outside the business district was rutted and sloppy. I'll try to find some pics.
