I went to buy some stamps today. While I was in line I was thinking about them going up so much last year. They went up because of fuel cost. I can understand that. They drive alot. That makes sence to me, but since gas has came down and stabilized I would expect the price to come back down also. I asked the clerk when the price would be coming back down since fuel cost had dropped and she laughed and informed me they are going up again may 11. Just doesn't seem like someone is doing good accounting.

You can buy the forever stamps which don't have the value on them and they never expire and are guaranteed to get your letter delivered no matter if the cost goes up or not. They are the same cost as a regular stamp... Makes no sense but I was just in the PO today listening to the lady explain it to a guy.

They only sell forever for the few months before and after price increases. It makes it easier on everyone by keeping you from having to use 1 cent stamps. By the way it's looking we'll be lucky if the USPS is still in business by May 11th

What do you mean going to? They asked in Dec. and then again last week. Said they were at a 56 Billion dollar defecit. They want to stop delivering mail on Wednesdays to make up the money.
