Its called Electronic Systems in Boones Creek. Its not really an electronics store, all they sell is CBs. and they know their stuff for sure. Its owned by a couple of older people that know anything and everything about CB/Ham Radios...
Clint, Richard, myself and many more have gone through them and have had no problems what so ever.
And...if u buy a radio and an antenna...they will tune your antenna for free, once you get it installed.
oh and you better not be afraid of a little smoke either...they'll prob smoke a pack just while your in there. :lol:

ahh this is a great idea. On a side note if you just buy a antenna they will tune it. No need to buy it all unless you need it.

I had a nice non working CB give to me and I took it up there. The fixed it, cleaned it, and peaked the power or something like that for a little of nothing. Very friendly people, and very knowledgeable. A++

HAHA, yes its pretty bad when your a smoker, and you walk into a place and say, man, it smells like a stale bowling alley in here. But they are very good at what they do, and cheaper than any other place that Ive seen as well. They do good work.

Great ppl, went to day for peak&tune and a talkback. Lady told me it would be tommorrow before I could pick it up. Since I live in abingdon I didn't want to make another trip down, she rushed it and I got it back in 5 mins. Nice ppl and great/fast service. All this cost me $27.38

I have to compliment these folks again. Right before we headed into the trail at Stoney Creek my CB half died. It would come and go. During the ride the antenna got turned every way but loose. When I come back home I couldnt get it to work at all. I went up to Electronic Systems and the man that runs the shop came out hooked up his testing equipment. The antenna was shot not working. I guess I trashed it on the ride. I messed up the coax end also he fixed it, got a more suitable antenna for the trails, he took the radio inside took it apart found the problem fixed the radio, tested the system reinstalled it and all of this was only $41.56 tax and all. The service was immediate. Again A++ service.

I went up there today to try and get my radio going. I had a 4' antenna and he thought a shorter one would do better. So he got a 3' and put it on. It did better so he just swapped me antennas.
Radio still has noise in it so I think I'll give him a call tomorrow and mayb go up there and get a noise filter.

I got a fiberglass superflex K40 antenna today. Was just less than $20 and can bend 180* and has a 5 year warranty against breakage.

I was up there last week as well. Great people to deal with. I bought a new antenna for my dodge, and before i could get out the door, the guy was out there wanting to know if i needed any help tuning it. So of course i let him. I also had him peak/tune an old cb i bought off a buddy for my Jeep. It didnt take him anytime and i was on my way home.
Definitely great people! A++ shop!

Anyone know how much they would charge just to tune a whip? I am picking a new one up in a couple days and will need to get it tuned.

4 year old post revived! Solid.
As mentioned above, their prices are very good. A lot of the time, too cheap. You might get lucky and he'd do it for free. Best bet is to either call, or just swing by there.

I actually went there the day after I posted that and ended up getting my antenna, mount and some coax from them. They said they would tune it for me after I got it all mounted up but I never had a chance to head back up there. I borrowed an swr meter from a buddy and got it all tuned up. Thanks for the heads up about the shop, though. I will definitely be going back in the future. The woman working in there talked baseball with me for about 45 minutes. It was awesome lol
