Has your double carden Joint gotten sloppy or started making that annoying clunking? Well you can fix it for $30. Below is the how-to I used to do mine. http://www.therangerstation.com/Magazine/Summer06/double_carden_joint.htm The part number I used was 612 from oreilly's auto parts. This will work for all driveshafts with a spicer style double carden joint. Here is neapco's online parts catalogs and most parts stores can cross reference their part numbers. http://www.neapco.com/n_products-catalogs.php

What they don't say in the article is that you have to position/rotate and twist the whole assembly to get the joints in. I called a friend and he told me to move it to create the space for the joint to go in, worked like a charm.

Yeah I figured that out also when I did mine Hadfield but it was not a bad repair at all. Getting the ujoint back in is the worst part of it. Took me about an hour and a half start to finish. I also went with precision ujoints from Oreilly's with the grease fittings in the cap. Replacing the one ujoint I had to remove and the centering kit cost me $52. New drive shaft $350
