This is my favorite hymn! It puts a lump in my throat and stands the hair on the back of my neck straight up. And to hear it on the bag pipes is absolutely awesome!!!!

I've got a couple different versions of it on the pipes. The neighbor plays the pipes and he plays Amazing Grace and others from his front porch for about 1 hr on memorial day. If we're home we sit out and listen. I can't get through amazing grace without a tear.

Very moving.
I will be going to NJ next week to conduct a memorial service for my late aunt, who died last week on her 80th birthday. She was my late mother's younger sister. Their father was from Scotland. Her only request before she died was to have a bagpipe rendition of Amazing Grace played. We will be having a live performance at her gravesite during interment of her ashes.
