I can see that. It is amazing though if he went to the planning department to begin with he might not be in so bad of shape. In my county I have gotten involved with 2 motocross tracks that are in a Residential district. and we handled it well. Noise has been the biggest compliant but we do not have noise ordiance so its not a big deal. i hope something gets worked out for them.

I originally wasn't aware that they were racing there. A lot of people used to go off-roading there for years illegally. The property owner finally got smart and opened it up as a pay-to-play park. I hope he will file the necessary paperwork to at least be able to continue to operate as a OHV park.

I think they can only shut down the business and racing end of it. I believe that the owners can still give permission to be on their property to ride.

Oh man, Hope this doesn't go thru. I have a buddy that has raced in a few of the dirtbike hairscrambles they used to hold there. Hope they don't shut down the park completely

Bad publicity for all of us is what it is. regardless of where, when word like this gets out it makes people mad, then they look at all off-road activities as being bad. Domino effect. Hope this guy takes care of this a little faster and professionally.

What we need is a 4X4 club to volunteer to oversee the activities and maintenance of this facility, and to work with the property owner in getting the necessary permits. Unfortunately, there are no clubs locally. How about it guys and gals? Want to start something?

The problem with this group doing that, is one most are already commited to Harlan and other local trails. The local guys around that park and the lease holder really should be putting in the effort on the "park"

I was actually directing the idea toward the guys on here that are local to that park.

Im in and I know one of the other local guys is definately in. Weve already talked about having a maintenance crew. Fixing some of the trails that dont need to be there and erosion control. Planting trees and ground cover.
