New trip to climbmax on Sunday 2/15/09. We will leave Dicks parking lot at the mall in Johnson City at 12 noon. Post up if you are going and I need to know who all wants to carpool.

From where I live, Dicks would be backtracking for me, I will probably meet you guys at the gym. Im going to pick up an extra harness today, and teach Tamara to belay.

I get all my gear from moosejaw.com and use a code for like 20% off.....I dont think Dicks would sell climbing gear.....around here Mahoneys has gear if you wanna throw money away.....other then that its Blackdome in Ashville

Mahoneys is OUTRAGEOUSLY priced on there gear, but they are the only place that sells it around here. I ordered my black diamond harness, chalk bag, Locking biner, and ATC as a package from www.mountaingear.com (http://www.mountaingear.com) for 50.00 bucks and found a brand new harness on eclassifieds that I am going to pick up this evening.

I get my gear from Rock Creek mostly just because of free shipping and very fast. If I order Tues. night or early Wed. morning I will have it Thur. afternoon.

If anyone has a better idea on where to meet I'm open to suggestions.

Daniel I'm glad to see that ya'll made it back in one peace. Did you have a good trip? Will you be riding with us, follow us down, or meet us there?

I asked Ryan but still dont know for sure...as far as how to get there im open if a seat is open I can fill it. if not ill just drive the bettle down.As for my trip it was great! we went hiking around Kanopolis Lake and camped out by the water on a 75 degree day. went hiking thru the Horse Theif snd byson slot canyons. and even got a little rock climbing in in the great state of Kansas..we ran over the laptop so its gonna be a few days to get the pics. off of it and transferred to this one. I'll post em asap

Hey all, this is actually Tamara (Aaron's wife). He asked that I post this up to let everyone know that unfortunately he will not be able to make it tomorrow because he is having his appendix removed at 8am. He had to call 911 while I was at work tonight to be taken to the hospital for extreme pain and as he suspected, it was his appendix and it has to come out soon, so he will be in surgery in the morning. He trully hates that he will be missing this trip since he was sooooo excited about it all week. He also told me to make sure that no one missed out on the fun tomorrow because of him, go climb all those rocks for him!!! Hopefully he can make it for the next trip! :)

His room# is 206 at Sycamore Schoals Hospital in Elizabethton, and his room phone # is 547-7206.

Sorry I missed today guys. I really wanted to go, and would have rather put myself through the pain and workout of climbing than what I had to go through last night and this morning. Im home now but feel pretty crappy. Someone got some pics right?

Sorry my phone don't take good pics inside. It was great meeting Shawn and Tabatha they are great people and a blast to hangout with and I'm looking forward to next time.

I didn't say it was impossible. Just that it hurts a little. Typical sore muscles like when you start back at the gym. If you actually work hard while there that is.... ;)

I had that same thing last week I felt like I couldn't even move. I guess thats why it didn't bother me this week. Progress, it's a wonderful thing.
