Elk Ride '09 [Archive]

This is a good ride for stock vehicles, it winds through reclaimed mining areas where the Elk graze. Last year Tammy and I went and saw over 200 Elk in just a couple of hours. More details are on the thread linked below.

Whoops....Its in the Title. Duh. I will miss it again this year. Chase is getting married that day..Maybe next year.

Yeah, Im engrained to the late shift now. But I have weekends off so its worth it. I wish this was any other weekend. I would love to take my wife.

I really enjoyed this last year. I was standing not 50-75 yards from 3 big bulls taking pics.

We had a great time today !! We saw probably 30 to 35 elk. Wasnt quiet as many as last year but the awesome scenery alone is worth the drive.Hopefully they will put another ride on in the next month or two.

I didnt get to take any pics. My camera may have just died for good.

I think we will be working on another ride like this for febuary.

Gary did an awesome job of showing us around!
