Ordered a pistol over two weeks ago. Was told it shipped out 14 days ago. They don't have it and can't tell me when they will get it. They tell me call back at 11. I do and they tell me to call in an hour, another hour, etc. It's a game and I'm fed up with it. They won't give me a straight answer. How hard is it to check on an order? Well I'm going over to Mahoney's tonight and pick it up with no crap. All this to save $10 isn't worth it. I've called over 100 times because they won't return my call or give me a straight answer. Just thought I'd share my experience.

Hate to hear that Shawn. I have bought a gun from them and know others that have too. No bad PR from them. I thought Crowder was shutting the doors too? If he can't give you a straight answer then get whatever money you paid him back and go elsewhere.

I hate to hear this as my family has bought tons of guns from Crowders and that is where most of all our guns have come from and will continue to come from. In his defense though with the resent election gun stores have been ram sacked with sales and are sold out bare pretty much also all the distributors are about the the same. I know I have been looking for a new pistol and no one can locate them. I dont know what to tell you about them not returning your calls but the bottom line is I have done business there for years and they most the time do a very good job. Sorry for your luck.

I tried to do business there and it was a no-go for me also. Went to Mahoney's and had zero problems.

Bird's Specialty Firearms have me believing that they are the best gun shop in JC area, it's above the jonesborough Pizza Parlor.

Crowder's think its a pain for them to hand you a weapon or answer questions...Then if you try to haggle they stand firm BUT, will rob you on any trade in deals!

I love Byrds have had awsome luck dealing with them gettin questions answered and also gotten some really good deals from them.

Crowders unless ya have money and they have it there could care less.

Mahoney's is alright also, Never had anything more than a medium experience there.

Yip there are a couple of guys here that buy guns all the time and they won't even step foot in there unless they have cash and the gun is on the shelf.

Someone I spoke to yesterday told me it might be in today. I called and they told me that I had good timing as they could place the order for me. Keep in mind they told me it shipped on the 17th. I picked it up at Mahoneys today and have it now.

Its because theres been a run on guns because obama is going to put a stop to gun sales so price and demand are all screwed up. He,s also going to do same for ammo.

That's the perception but I don't think it's the reality....even if he's re-elected he will have plenty to keep him busy so I don't think gun control will be high on the list.

You guys don't think the gun and ammo companies aren't behind all this hype? Who is profiting right now? They learned from the gas companies that if you create a scare, you can then get a big run on supplies.
Sorry, I hate politics, but I hate companies that use scare tactics to have an increase in sells at our expense more.

Exactly...I think Antivirus companies are the same way.
