Speedway in lights! Friday Nov 21st

Since some of us have streetable rigs, I thought that it would be a cool idea to get some of us together one night after they start the speedway in lights and head down there as a group. I know that there are nights as well that you can get in for like two cans of food for one of the local food drives, which would be a cool thing to do for charity. (the normal admission price goes to childrens charities anyway). Any thoughts or intrest?

Just a note if you wait till after Christmas it's not as crowded. That gives you a little more time to look with out being pushed. I know this because I like to fall behind at the end so everyone ahead of me is off the track part. It's fun to open it up on the high banks by your self. What ever you decide. Anita and I will try to go. We have not missed a year in the past five.

Im a Pratts man myself, but love Ridgewood too. I like pratts because theres 7 different sauces on the table. If you havent eaten at 12 bones in Kingsport, you have to go and order the Hawgzilla. Its pulled pork, smoked sausage, bacon and cheese all on one samich. Man, its a heart attack and a clogged artery on a bun, but man can I put em down. 7:45 is probably good we should be done by then and at the speedway.

Pardners is in Piney Flats on 11 E about sixish miles from the race track.

We had a great time at the speedway. We also went to see more lights behind Shadrack Motorsports which is about a mile past the speedway towards Bristol.Those were definetly the best by far.They were lots of lights dancing in rythym to music and only 10 bucks to get in. Proceeds go to a local food bank.

Had a blast, only there was some one behind Aaron with there lights on blinding me. LOL j/k Sorry some of you guys couldn't make it, its the first time I have ever been to the speed way and I had a blast. My favorite part is driving as high as I could around in the corner. I knew it was a small track but my truck made it feel smaller.

If you pull the parking brake to the first click you should be able to turn them off.

I tryed that because a chevy that I had once worked that way but this mitsubishi don't. I read the owners manual today and it said that there is no way to turn them off without pulling the fuse. Dadburn furin cars!!!!

It really depends on when you go. And the closer you get to Christmas, the longer the line. We usually go on a weeknight in early to mid-December. We stop to see Santa (even though our kids are all teens now, they still love the tradition) and it takes at least 3 hours--sometimes more.
