Folks, this was posted up on IAJ. Laurie and Andy are members here, as well.
Please keep them in your prayers.
As some of you already know, Laurie has been sick in bed for several days. Due to the fact she has not gotten any better, Andy has decided to carry her to the Hospital in Columbia for further testing. I just got off the phone with him and he said they were going to do a CT scan and several other test to try and find out the problem. Please keep her and the Family in your prayers. She's a wonderful girl that needs our support right now. I'm sure that Andy has his hands full keeping everything in order with the children and all. Thanks and I'll keep you posted.

Sorry Guys,,,with all that has happened over the last 24hrs I just have not had time to get on here and update everyone. Thanks for all the prayers and kind words. Laurie has had a rough week. She became ill on Tuesday and that is the last time she has eaten anything. She called me yesterday and told me she was feeling worse and that her side was hurting pretty bad. That is when I made the call to go to the emergency room. They admitted her last night and have her on tons of meds and pain killers. They have her on Quarintine and she can only have extreemly limited (me and immediate family) visitors. They are still at this point not 100% certain what is the cause of her illness but they are pretty sure it is just a very bad viris that has moved in to her intestinal tract. She is going for a lower GI in a little bit and she is very excited about it.....NOT.
Again...thanks for all the prayers...keep them coming.

Laurie just go back from the Colon thingy and the doc says everything apears to look fine. He said her Colon was very irritated and looks like she just picked up a very nasty virus. They are keeping her overnight and they will make the call tomorrow about us going home. For now the quarintine is still on but its for her protection against picking up infection from visitors.

Wow...this will go down as one of the longest weekends of my life. We got to come home today. Laurie is feeling much better but she is very weak and really has no appitite. She is still on some heavy meds for the next several days and she is still not ready to go back to work but she is up and moving and she has her perk back. Thanks for all the Prayers!!!!

Laurie is back to about 80% tonight. She has really improved today. She thinks she is gonna try and go back to school tomorrow but she has a sub on standby. The do know it was a virus that got into her digestive tract. They said that since she is so young that they were not really concerned about exactly which virus it was. They said had she been 50-60ish they would have isolated it to make sure they knew what they were fighting. She has to go back in 4-5 weeks for another CT scan to check her limph nodes. Thanks for everything guys...it means more than you realize.
