Ok here it goes... I have a 2.5L 1989 YJ (for those of you who dont know). I am having issues with the blinkers. When I first got the heep they worked fine but had a rear tail light out. I replaced that tail light and now they do not work at all. The hazards work though. On my dash where you would see the blinkers flash on and off it is showing them both on, steady, not blinking at all. Aaron (adurbin) said it might be something inside my steering wheel where the horn was (I replaced the steering wheel). I have checked and checked to make sure all the bulbs are correct and I also made sure the grounding was correct as well. Anyone have any idea?

What I was reffering to was the Clock spring in the column.

Did you replace the whole taillight housing? If so did you go back with a stock one? The stock lights ground to the body through the mounts. It sounds like a bad ground to me since it started when you replaced the light.

If it's not that it could be a bad flasher relay. The flasher relay is the round canister looking thingy in the fuse block under the dash.

It is the original, and oh yeah I need replace the relay, it was the first thing that came to my head. I will recheck the grounds tomorrow afternoon and let you know.

Bad flasher relay!!!
Ditto - your fusebox will probably have 2 of these, one for hazard lights and one for turn signals. ;)
