What moter and tranny is in each of them? Tow package? Is the 350 a dually? What years? Mileage?

If price and all other things were equal I'd get the 350.More truck for the same money. If one is a 7.3 diesel and the other is a 6.0 diesel I would definately go with the 7.3.The 6.0's have problems.

2001 is 7.3 motor. It's great! In 2003 they started using 6.0L and all 2004 were 6.0L. The first year had some problems with head gaskets blowing. Definately get the 2001!

get the 2001 f350. 7.3 is a better motor.

For my work I have two 99 F350's with the 7.3L engines a 2000 F250 and one 2001 F250 with the 7.3L engines. The F350's will out tow the F250's as the suspension is built to handle the heavier loads. Other than that .....there is very little difference in the trucks. My F350 that I drive hauls a 36' gooseneck with a pop up camper and two jeeps with no problems.
Just to move it around at the shop one day I hook my stuff up to one of the F250's and it maxed out the suspension before I even tried to move it.

hmmmmm....I just have no experience with the V10's. I can tell you that it is just hard to beat a 7.3L diesel.

I tow trailers and fifth wheel with my 2000 f250, 7.3 and the only issue I have with front brake rotors. This seems to be pretty common.

the V10's are VERY bad on gas

We are lucky if a set of front rotors last us a year.

We were having that problem on one of our trucks where I used to work ('99 F-350). We had been using lifetime pads, and going through rotors like crazy. We swapped out to cheaper, non-lifetime pads which were softer, and it slowed it down a LOT.

f350's have an extra overload leaf in the spring pack, that is where the extra suspension capacity comes from vs. the f250. the v-10's while VERY bad on gas are excellent engines. lots of power and torque. also fast.
