It's called Geno's Straps and is in Bristol. It looks like the thread may have been deleted. Maybe one of the BOD will chime in and let us know what happened. I think Gordon has their contact info.

It was a dead thread, so it was deleted. When we had the simplehost DB problem a little while ago, the thread was found to be incomplete (only title, no info) so it was removed.

He is on Shakesville Road in Bristol, VA - just north of the city compound area. I seemed to have lost his business card and I'm not working up in Bristol any longer to stop by, so I'll see if I can dig something up. I may try to catch him at the Jonesborough Flea Market.

I have not seen him at the flea market in some time, but I've talked to him by phone in the last couple weeks. I have his contact info at home, so if no one posts before then, I'll put it up.

Friend of mine had him make 4 HEAVY DUTY 7' ratchet straps and 4 axle straps and it ran about $100.

So I met Geno yesterday. I've been holding off buying a tree saver until I could see him. I am a firm believer in small business. So I waited until business brought me there.
Anyway Geno is the bomb. That guy knows straps. He must have thousands of feet of strap in his shop. Anyway I basically showed up with nothing but 15 minutes notice for directions. He whipped me up a 10' tree saver with extra abrasion stuff in the eyes for about a little less than you can get it oneline without paying shipping. Better product/better price. I'll be going back to him for something else I have planned.

I just got back from Geno's place and my new straps.
He's a super nice guy and the straps I bought seem to be of very high quality.
The prices were really low too and he said his materials are made in the USA...I'll definitely go back.
There are tons and tons of straps and materials inside his workshop. I think he probably could make just about anything you'd ask for.

Ive got a couple of his smaller 1" wide ratchet straps I use for my atv and mowers several times a week. Its going on 3 years now and they are still holding up great. Alot better than the cheapo's you find at walmart and places. Great straps for a good price!

I will try and post some straps that he has actually made soon. The straps I bought have Kinedyne (http://www.kinedyne.com/webbing/webbing.asp) writing on them.
