This is only 12 miles from my other property and my folks's place. I know where a hidden trail is located that can be a real challenge to travel. Labor Day is usually very busy at my parents but I should be in the area.

Were is windrock and how do I get there? Im thinking even if I dont get clear by the doc to drive I might be able to get one of the folkes to bus me up there

That's it, Marshall. :kewl: The trailhead is actually just a few miles from the main strip in Oak Ridge. ;) Bill, was it the Days Inn we stayed at last time?

if I go I'll be camping @ the Windrock Campground....but not the one that is owned by the park....
Just got back from there today actually...it's a pretty fun place :D

sounds awesome so i have a question for those who have camped at windrock. is the camp ground at windrock or is it a little ways away and how much approximately do they charge per night i ve got a few friends that may go with me...

As far as camping goes, I believe we are staying at Chase's (YJmudders) relatives house not to far away, I cant attest for the windrock campground however.

well i just spoke to my friend and their baby is due first week of sept so they may be inducing labor sooner if needed so it looks like ill be going by myself. thanks though

Here's where I've stayed a couple of times....it has a good bathhouse and such...and they keep a really really close eye on who comes and goes - so it's pretty secure.
When we stayed there last weekend it was $20/night...so it's a little steep in price.

well it seems like the weather wont agree with me so i wont be able to make it...stupid rain...and the lack of funds means no mud tires
