God is sending a group of youth from this area through Higher Ground to NYC on the 18th. He is sending a group of 30 youth and adults to Staton Island to show His Love to the hurting people there. Please help me pray for this group, and the people that God will place in front of us. We will be serving the people up ther in God's mighty name. It is called The Island Of Hope Tour. We are excited that God is allowing us to do this. We are looking for God to move in a mighty way that cannot be explained by anything else. Thank You

We are pulling out at 5:00Am. Please continue to pray for us this coming week. We are taking around 46 students, and NYC will never be the same. Pray God's will is done and seen through everything that we do. Pray that God will protect us because we are going to be in some questionable situations. God has brought is this far and will bring us home. I will try to post updates if I can.

Let me just say God Has The Whole World in His Hands. The Mission was accomplished, and God knows the results. On the way up there the bus had a little problem. It would go for 10 miles and the shut down. It was really scary sometimes because I was behind it pulling the church trailer, and some places on the side of the road there was no shoulder to pull off of the road onto. Satan did not win. We were blessed with a great company out of Asheville that got us a local bus to come and get the kids and the also got a new bus from Nashville to come for the rest of the week. If anyone needs a buss co it is Runnion. Ask if Bill will drive. He and his wife were great.
Statton Island is 7x14 miles and has over 1million people on it. Out of those people most are not saved by the Blood of Christ. The church is growing in leaps and bounds 4 years ago it was around 150 people and now there are over 300 that attend 2 services on Sunday morning. Search for Salem church, for more info. They have a passion for people like I have never seen.
Our mission was to get the people in the neighborhood info about the block party that happened on Friday night. We went door to door, and handed out fliers at the Ferry Terminal. We did a concert in a park with Traffic Jam our band. We were on the street doing human videos, and skits in NYC. It was awesome because people would stop on the other side of the road and watch. The cops were also called on us a couple of times, and they pulled our permit at the Ferry. The mission was a major success.
I was almost issued a summons in China Town for having my knife clipped onto my pocket. The cop said that I was displaying it. I fixed it really quickly, and went on my way. I think that he just wanted to hear my talk.
If anyone goes to NYC I do recommend that they take the time to go to Time Square Church, and Brooklyn Tabernacle. If you are blessed enough to attend any kind of service at one of these churches you will be forever changed. It is strange to be outside with all of the hustle and people bumping into you, and then walk into those doors and feel God's Love right there. People from all walks of life, and all skin colors lifting up hands and praising Jesus. It is simply AWESOME. God is Great.
It was stated "If you turn NYC to Christ you will turn the World to Christ."
