I have family plans for the fourth, but I will be out there Sat 5th. Let me know if that works for you. It's always fun with a group.

Went to URE Sat, it was fun, but not that many people on the trails. I filled my tank in Lancaster SC where I live, and drove the 75 miles to URE. After riding all day I topped off the tank when I left the park and discovered I had gone 144 miles combined hwy/trails and used 4.5 gallons of diesel fuel. Not bad for a fun day wheeling. That's like 32 mpg, I was shocked.

that's awesome! i drove my rig to the trails and averaged a little over 10mpgs there and a little under on the way home.

hope you all had a good trip! conditions were good for us. didn't see many other rigs at all. rain came just as we were leaving the outpost.

next time!

There was very little dust (relative "little") compared to other times I went. I got on the trails about 9:45 Sat am, and on some trails mine were the first set of fresh tracks. I was surprised at how few people were out. The first people we met up with were on Rocky Mtn loop. It rained late Sat afternoon, was there enough to make Sun interesting?

it really wasn't bad at all. seemed like it rained just enough to make the trails a little tacky and to knock the dust down. there were a few puddles here and there....but nothing like we thought we might encounter before we left home sunday morning.

i was surprised at how empty the trails were as well. maybe saw 6 or 8 other rigs all day.
