Well, have had a bit going on here lately and want to praise the Lord for all things.

As I have mentioned before, our son and daughter-in-law are expecting a little girl here shortly. Tara has a heart problem, which has made her pregnancy a bit high risk. All has been well inspite of a couple trips to the hospital for unexpected issues. Praise the Lord for watching over them.

The current plan is for an induced delivery next Thursday, about 2 weeks early. Bev and I are leaving for Florida to be there for little Addison's arrival. We will be in Florida for 2 to 3 weeks.

Many of you know that I have been working at the Bristol NAPA, a corporate store with health insurance. Without going into a ton of details, I felt lead to tender my resignation, not only to be able to go to Florida for the grandbaby's birth, but also to explore some other avenue of work that would allow me more flexibility to spend time with Bev, work closer to home, and yet still be able to address our need for medical coverage.

Today was my last day there, and it appears that again the Lord is providing. Praise the Lord for being there as I made decisions, and showing me the way to the answers I needed.

Life is simply wonderful, and it is because of Him. All praise to our Lord.

Gordon sweet. 2 weeks is nothing. My kids were born 2 wks, 3 wks and 4 wks respectively. All were 8 lbs. Praying for the job situation as well.

My job comment was actually praise to the Lord for working things out - I have something all lined up which much better suits my situation. But that's in August. Details later.

All is doing well with the baby. Bev and I leave early Thursday morning for Florida. The doctors plan to induce Tara later Thursday, so we're maybe gonna have a birth late the evening of the 3rd, or maybe even on the 4th.

Thanks for the prayers.

Well, first chance at the internet since we've gotten here -

Our grandbaby, Addison Marie McDuffie, was born at 0450 on the 4th of July. Mom & daughter are fine and came home this afternoon.

I'll post more when I get a chance, but here's a first peak -

Thank you all very much. We are indeed blessed.

Just got back from her first exam by a pediatrician and all is fine. She will see the same pedi that saw Ryan nearly 30 years ago.

It has been a true joy to be here and spend all our time with her.

No need for replies, just wanted to praise our Lord for everything associated with our trip and birth of baby Addison.

We arrived home safely last night from a wonderful experience. We have a healthy addition to our family, Ryan and Tara are doing wonderfully as new parents, and Bev & I were blessed to be there for the birth and first few weeks of Addison's life.

Awesome doesn't describe it.

And, as "Proud Papaw", here's a link to a few more pics.

Thanks to all for your blessings & prayers.
