View Full Version : Rubicon wheels on a YJ?

I'm not sure if this is possible. I don't see why it wouldn't be, but I seem to remeber reading somewhere that it wouldn't work. Someone please help me out here.

They will work just fine I would imagine. they are 16x8. Don't know the backspace on them but I am sure it is not more than 4.5-4.75". You may have to turn your steering stops out just a little on both sides to keep it from rubbing at full lock.

The only prob you might incounter is the disk breaks on the front. I don't think you have any prob. If you do just slap a set of spacers on. I put a set of stock 16"s off of an old jeep truck on a scrambler and the only prob I had was clearing the caliper. Don't think you'll have that prob. They both have the same wheel pattern.

I know that the bolt pattern is the same. I seem to remember something about the width of the wheel and the backspacing (I think it 5.25") caused rubbing issues on the front leaf springs. I'm actually trying to figure this out for a friend.
