Hello Guys,
I am having a problem with my car........the engine misses when black smoke and soot come out of the exhaust. I thought there may be a problem with the sensor. Hence, I replaced it but nothing happened.
What else could be wrong?:smokin:
Thanks!!!

Black smoke is indicative of a fuel problem - too much. Have a competent mechanic run a scan and code it for you. Beware of the "freebie" scans, as usually they'll come back as O2 sensor, and yup, that's true O2 sensor is doing its job and probably isn't bad. You need the root cause. I am gonna guess that it's most likely MAF or IAC, or possibly TPS.
