Hi everyone,
Some friends of ours from IAJ need some help. He posted it there and I asked if I could post it here since Tom and I have met so many of you. He said that was fine and thanks for any help you can offer him and his wife. They were at the Harlan ride in Oct.
Thanks!! I know I can count on you guys and girls for prayers.
Denise

Humbly asking for help.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is something that I would not normally talk or ask about on a public board but since joining this site and meeting many of you, I don't consider this board to be like any other I have been on. Most people on here are extremely caring and genuine. Because of this I would like to ask for everyones help and prayers.

Jen (my wife) and I have been trying to adopt a child, after speaking to agencies as well as private adoption attorneys both have said that we need to network, and get the word out that we want to start our family. They both have said to just put the word out of our plans to adopt and to have people just keep their eyes and ears open. We have done this with our local family and friends, but I thought now is the time to extend our network through other means, the more people that are looking and listening will only help us on this journey.

What I am asking of you is that if you happen to hear of a situation that may help us or another family in our situation to please contact me.

I would not want direct contact with whomever the parent/s may be, I would never want to put a person or persons in that situation. The decision for a mother/father to put a child up for adoption is hard enough, it is a decision I could not imagine having to make.

What I would ask is that you contact me and I can forward the name of our adoption agency/attorney to you. Then you or whomever could get that number to the people that may need it. The atty/agency will help them from that point on.

I am not asking anyone to get involved beyond giving the contact information to them. I do not want to put anyone in an uncomfortable situation.

Even if the adoption does not happen for us, it could/would help to answer another families hopes and prayers that are in our same situation.

My email is amp7876@hotmail.com

Thank you all for any help, prayers, and support you may be able to give.

Sure will, Denise. It is wonderful that a couple wants to give a child a good home. It just doesn't seem right that, when someone wants to give a loving home to a child, that they must go through such rigors to do so. And, for whatever the reason, prayers for the person/family on the other side of the coin, too.

Hello everyone,

This is Tony from IAJ, I just wanted to post a thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and any help that you may be able to give my wife and I in our journey to start our family.

We may have met a few of you at the Fall Crawl in Harlan, We had a great time there and hope to be back soon with a little passenger to tag along with us.

We were the couple with the Little Black Pug and the German Shepherd at the camp site.

I also want to thank Denise for being so kind to post on this board for us.

Thank you all again.
