winch mounting

ok i have a tahoe with a westin sportsman brush guard on it the brush kinda blocks the the front hooks so how would i mount a small winch on the front? is it possible?

You may have to have some custom work done. Brush guards don't tend to be too popular on trail rigs.

Here's a build thread that may help you. And, when you say small - minimum 8K, but a 9 or 9.5 would be more appropriate for a Tahoe. Good rule of thumb - 1-1/2 X vehicle weight.

The pic on that last link of the red XJ is the same exact bumper as mine, which I PMed you about. It shows the closed attach point for the "D" shackle a bit more clearly.

All this custom fab work is done right here locally - specifically designed for each vehicle.
