Is there anyone here that God gives the interpretations of dreams to? I had a dream about a week ago and didn't think anything of it except for the fact that I never remember my dreams and I remember this one so clearly. So I told someone about it and they gave it to someone who usually gets interpretations. He prayed on it and got one and gave it to me so then I asked my dad to pray about it (because God says out of the mouth of 2 or more and to always get confirmation) and he got one and gave it to me though it has somewhat of a different meaning. I really need someone who has no connections to me or the situation to pray about it. If you're an interpreter I'll give you the dream in a PM. Thanks and God bless.

I don't know that I can help you, but I would certainly be willing.

Since the new covenent (Jesus dieing for our sins), the Lord usually talks to us through His Word or the Holy Spirit. I myself don't put any stock in dreams....but that's just me

John 16:13-14
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.

X2, I would encourage you to spend time in study and prayer, asking God for His truth about your dream. Then spend specific quiet time listening for God's Spirit to speak to your heart.

The Lord speaks in many ways, and dreams are ONE of them. As George said, God's Word is the best way to seek Him and let Him talk to you. That said, many prominent ministries were fueled by dreams. The key is to approach dreams very cautiously - do not automatically assume that they are from the Lord. Just as one's own flesh can play tricks on the mind - the same can be done in your dreams. Then there's the "father of lies" to be watchful of also. Before I turned to Jesus, Satan tried to destroy me and my family through very destructive dreams. Taking hold of the promise of the Lord and standing firm on His Word took those violent dreams from us.

IMO, dreams are a double-edged sword. The Lord has led me through a couple very scary situations with dreams, but then again my flesh has led me astray with dreams MANY times. Do not trust upon just one interpretation - get as many as you can, and pray about them. Most importantly, check how the dream compares with Scripture - because if it doesn't line up with the Bible, then it isn't from the Lord.

I totally agree with you Bluegill. I know the Lord speaks to us in many ways and I've had people come to me and say "the Lord gave me a dream(or vision) for you and here's what it means"....right away I know it's not from God because I didn't have His peace about it. The dream I had this time I didn't think was God because I thought it was actually quite funny, yet strange. I told my girlfriend about it and God gives her brother-in-law interpretations all the time so she wrote the dream down. I just laughed and low and behold, the Lord gave him the interpretation of it. So I prayed on it and had His peace about it. Then I told my dad about the dream not telling him someone else got the interpretation of it. The Lord then gave my dad the interpretation and it lined up with what my girlfriends brother-in-law said. So I know it's a dream from God. I prayed some more on it and the Lord revealed some stuff to me. It was really awesome. The awesome part about the dream....I'm getting married! :) Haha, it's all weird but I have been praying for a wife for some time now and when we started talking I just felt joy in my spirit. So we kept talking and praying and now, after about 2 months, God is revealing to us that He wants us together. He's spoken to not only her and I but to other people as well who don't have complete knowledge of the situation. I'm not sure how God is going to work it all out but I know He'll reveal everything in His perfect timing. She is from Illinois and I am from Massachusetts. She is coming out here in April with her son and her sister and her husband and their son for Passover. Then I'm not sure what God is going to do from there. The Lord did speak to me to invite them and right away God told her brother-in-law to come here. I just can't wait to see what He is going to do about us! I'm kinda hoping I get to move to Illinois but we'll see where God leads me, or her, and when. Till then I ask you to pray for her and I to follow the Holy Spirit in whatever He has us do. It's going to be tough on the both of us because of the distance but I know if we follow after God's will everything will be easy and fall into place.

I met my wife while I was in Seattle and overseas, and she was in Louisiana going to college. Against all the world's odds, this July we'll be celebrating 10 years together as husband & wife. Praise the Lord :!:
