Called afew places and it appears to be cheaper to just kick my windshield out and have it replaced than for them to remove it and replace it a few weeks later. And they won't guarantee it against breaking while putting it back in.It's not glued in it has a gasket.
I need to remove it for some cage work etc.
can Anyone recommend a place in bristol,e-town or jc?
TIA

Cut the gasket and take it out. If you break it out you will be pulling glass from places that it should not be.

Most autobody supply places have a cable type glass cutter they sell.Like this one from Eastwood.

With a gasket, just cut the gasket to take it out. Then buy a new gasket and pay them to put it in. You might be able to put it in yourself on a warm day with soapy water and a helper. Worst case you have to buy a new one.

Just found out the "problem" is that apparently the windshield is put in by using leverage on the inside with flat tools, this would be impossible with the cage in place.
Looks like I'll me trying the hole in the floor, lower cage all the way down,so I can tilt it back for access.
But if it breaks,I'd have to go with lexan or something.
That would get ride of broken glass problem on the trail atleast
I'm not hardcore enough yet to run w/o windshield .
