As some of you know I've entered into the uwharriecross event.

I need to do some underbody(frame) clearance work.

If I can't do it with a sawzall,Does anybody local have a plasma cutter?
I could haul it to you,it would be 2 straight cuts about 2feet long thru ~1/8
steel.

I gotta fix a crossmember issue.

TIA

What about a torch or zip wheel? That seems like a lot of hauling for 2 cuts. :)

Don't have a torch,or a big enough compressor for zip wheel.......

If I do it soon while it's cold,I could put enough layers on and cover up with my leathers and maybe us my 4 1/2.......mmmmmm

Can you rent torches ?

It would be alot of haulin, didn't really think about that.

Put one of the thin cutting discs on your grinder and cut it that way. I have a plasma if you really want to haul to Mt Carmel but again thats a lot of work for a simple job.

I have a torch and big compressor, but I prefer electric grinders.

sounds like the grinder will be the way to go,if I can get to it,if the snow ever melts I'll climb under there and see.

If not I'll post back,thanks

Thanks Mike.
