Looking to upgrade the front/rear shocks.
What is your suggestion/opinion?
Thanks

Foghorn, you have a few options.
OME are the best. About $75 each, but worth it!
Skyjacker Hydro's are next at $35 each. These are considered "poor man OME's." Good ride, but are known to rust in 1-2 years.
There are a bunch of others for a TJ, but these are the most popular.

Bilstein 5100's can be had for the same price of those OME's. Much better shock.

Bilstein is another very good option. The 5100 series are great for Jeeps.

I'm running Bilstein 5150s, so far I'm very happy with them.

That was the best cartoon ever!

These shocks you all mentioned "5100s"...are they performance upgrades or just a factory equivalent??

I'm running Rubicon Express Mono tubes. You might wanna look into a rear shock relocation brackets while your at it. It brings the shock out a little more and makes sure it doesn't hit the spring perch on the rear axle if you have adjustable upper links to adjust your rear pinion.

They are not a stock replacements. You order these by the travel length and mounting style.
Here ya go. Cheapest place I have been able to find them.

I like the RE monotubes. They are equivalent to 5100s or OMEs. The cost is about $300 for a set shipped. They do mount upside down too, which always looks cool!
