I'm possibly looking for a s10 blazer or truck for parts. I'm considering doing a 700r4/231/300 doubler. Have anything?

I know this guy, who knows this guy that has a 700r4/231...
I'm not sure he'd want to sell it though.

I have a 231(21splinei think)im sure someone will correct me if im wrong, from a 4banger YJ 1995, 75$ it is missing the last bearing retainer but u wouldnt need that for a doubler and im assuming youd have to change the shafts anyways. pm if your intrested.

If it's from a 4-banger it is 21 spline, but it won't work for this application. To work behind a 700r4 it has to be a 231C, which has a 27 spline input and an oddball 5 bolt mounting pattern.

I am thinking the same thing Johnnie. I just need the D300 and doubler kit.

I think this is the most bang for the $. I got the 231c from 1ton-mudder today and the 700r4 from Marty G last night. Right now I'm 26:1 final
ratio. With the 700r4/231/300 I'll be 117:1, with stock gears in the transfer cases. Now that's alot of difference. I'd be at 179:1 w/ 4:1 gears in the 300. I'm going to get the doulber/flip kit and twin sticks from D&D machine shop. Has anyone had any dealings with them before, or any other 231/300 doubler manufactor?
Both the guys I know with the 231 crawl box are DD machine kits. One 231/231 and the other 231/300 4:1. I helped with the mods to the crawl box on the 231 and had a friend with a machine shop weld the aluminum filler block. I thought the kit was well made and everything went together good. 117:1 will be the bomb with your setup! How much is his kit running right now?

Good deal Johnny! Now I'll know exactly how this setup works when I'm able to do it in mine. :smokin:

The doubler kit, twin sticks, and shipping is going to run around $700.00+-
I can't wait to get this done. John, I'm trying to get a large house in Everts for the April fools run, do you want to stay with us?

Put a "taco" sticker on the hood and come on, no one will know the difference.

Wish I'd seen this earlier. I have a matching set 700R4 and NP231C HD from a Blazer. Had the 4.3 in front of it of course.

I think I might be there too. So I guess I had better stick with the jeep crowd as well.
