We have several areas in the park that need cleaning up and others that need improvements to exsisting obstacles.
We have several people coming to work on the middle and upper rock garden areas but we need several to come work on clearing limbs and such on the easy/moderate trails that lead out to Hawk-Eye overlook (past the Grace campground). I would like to see a good turn out from Grace, this will be on a Saturday.

Wondering, which location should I come to? What are you planning to do at each site? Any particular tools I need? What is each group providing for lunch would help my decision :)

I would bring a chain saw, machette, and some good gloves.

I think there will be plenty to do it both the middle and upper RG, I think they have quite a few for little jagger. As for lunch you know where I'll be the worlld famous Corner Cafe

I'll let the other guys know what's up and I don't see any problem at all with it.

I'm thinking about coming up with Casey(RedRiverRanger). That's provided I survive windrock this weekend. I'd like to help you guys out if at all possible. Being a farmer I've got all the essential tools(read chainsaws/gloves/knowhow). Hope to see you guys next weekend.

I'm heading up to Callalantee in Mountain City, TN early Thursday to do some chainsaw trail work. I'll probably leave there sometime Friday afternoon/evening to come over to Harlan. If I don't see you all at the Huddle House I'll catch you on the trail.

Hey guys we can use all the help we can get so if anyone wants to go they can ride with Andy and I have a good idea that lunch will be taken care of and Rose is bringing a bunch of shirts and stickers to sell. We plan to leave my house at 7:00 sharp and return back home around dark.

Andy, since Brian is riding with George I'll ride with you if you've still got the room.

That's fine, I still have plenty of room. No one else has asked so I guess you have shotgun :smokin: . Three seats left. NOTE: If you have frequent flyer miles you may use them for a seat.

I will be at George's at 6:45 am Saturday morning.

We had a good showing today, I think we had at least 15 working on the Upper Rock Garden.

The upper RG is now twice as long with several new obstacles, a couple that are right up there with can opener. We also opened up alot more spectator and parking room.

We extended Bruiser up to trail 23(main road to middle rock garden)

we also added two lines past and below grape vine. You turn left before grapevine and take next right. u have a choice of two lines right being the hardest.

I got to experience the new upper rock garden today. Pretty good stuff; but it was the old stuff that got me.

Can-Opener - 1

Windshield frame and entire drivers side of the jeep - 0

I ran part of the new section, George. The new section @ the beginning is too big for me. There was a guy in a buggy that tried for about half an hour to get through there and couldn't. I've just got a few pics. My cam died :(

The new section after CanOpener is really cool.

I thought the workday went real well! Good to meet some Gracers and others. Good turn out and lots accomplished. The upper rock garden is MUCH longer, funner, accessible and challenging. From what I saw of Jager and the Lower Garden on the way down super progress was made there too. I can only assume the Middle Garden crew had similar success. A couple of similar workdays will really add to an already super 4x4 venue!
