I am getting ready to buy a welder. I been eyeballin a Miller 180 Auto-set that I found from Indiana Oxygen. New for $720 to my door.
Does anyone know of a good 175 or bigger mig welder for sale. Just a little while back, I found a Hobart Ironman 210 for $900 that had only been tested but never used on anything. Can't find the info now.
Thinking about going to see what Airgas can do for me. Let me know what you guys might know about.

$900 is good for an ironman 210. However new you can get'm for $1099 at TSC. Thats a good price on the MM180 compared to what I've seen. Most are around $800+ including a cart.
Cyberweld.com is quick and has great service.
Airgas doesn't have good prices on welders etc. I went to them before I bought my plasma and they couldn't even get close on price.
I do buy my wire (#30 spools) from them because its easy and convenient.
Keep digging on welders... You will find a good one.

Holston Gas in Gray is where I get my bottle's filled, they're almost half the price of AirGas on Argon/CO2 and Propane. Never checked their welder prices but it's another place to look.

I don't know the prices now but about a year ago I bought a Lincoln 175 at Lowes for $599 & built my own cart . A lot can change in a year.

Holston gas is the only place for anything as far as I'm concerned, mig wire, TIG rod, regulators, they kill evrybody else's price. Airgas wants like $25 a pound for 304 or 308 rod, and $35 for an eleven pound spool of wire. $13.95 a spool @ holston.

TN ranger buys his gas from there and likes their prices. I buy my gas in rogersville. Can't remember the name but they are way cheaper than airgas (similar to holston I would guess)
We should start a list of local welding suppliers and try to keep tallies on their prices for rod/wire/gas etc.

I think Holston might have a place in Rogersville, maybe the same? We get all our stuff at work from the Holston in Gray. The also come out and fill our 1k gallon in-ground LP tank.

Well so far Holston has the best price on the welders I looked at. As far as getting my oxy/acetylene filled, the only place that would swap them for me was Gibson Oxygen on Sullivan St. I have a 200 oxy bottle and a 147 acetylene bottle. Gibson did well. Cost me $93 with tax for both of them.
