These guys have a shop in Elizabethton, Kingsport, and Johnson City. I took my jeep this morning to the Elizabethton shop and they really impressed me. There were a total of 4 guys working on my jeep at one time, one on each tire (and they were busy). They did everything I asked them to do, test fitted a wheel (if you order a set of new rims from summit and mount tires on them, you cant send them back for any reason, they even put the weights on the inside of the rim. They charged me 40 bucks for mount, balance, and new valve stems. The manager was even talking to me about Harlan. Great People, awesome service. They definitely have my business.

I don't know about the other locations but I wouldn't take a hay wagon to the store in Kingsport, they bent two wheels, cross threaded two lugnuts, and broke a rotor on my Dually and wouldn't stand behind it.

That sounds VERY familiar George. It is the 3 brothers that run those stores. The one here in Kpt is lacking to say the least.

Hmm. I cant speak for that one, but the Eliz store really impressed me. Of course, anytime I take my vehicle in to have anything like that done, I always stand where I can see what the techs are doing while they are doing it.

I have not been to the other two stores, but I have always been impressed with the one in Elizabethton.

I've delt with the guys in E-town and was always pleased with their work and service.
The one in Kpt. I bought a set of tires for the 79 once and was pleased but I've heard of other people having problems. They screwed up a whole set of lug nuts on my brothers Rover and wouldn't replace them.

Thats one of the most nerve racking thing you can do to a new mechanic (I was the mechanic lol) but none the less understandable.

Actually after reading these posts, i agree with George on this one. The one in Kpt is a joke. i wouldnt let them touch my push mower wheels. They broke 2 air pressure sensors on the girlfriends Mazda 6 and didnt bother to tell her. So as soon as i left the place, the tire light started flashing on the dash. TO make a long story short, they said they didnt do it. Well im sure they didnt since they just replaced the tires lol bunch of morons. So after about a month, and 3-4 trips to the store, Brian Hayworth finally paid for it. And the sad thing, is that i had to take it to the dealer and let them install them on his dime. Definitely bad business.
But the store in Kpt went out of business a few weeks back. Not sure about the other stores, but they one on stone drive has a closed sign on it. And it should with how bad they suck!
I have known a few guys who use to work there. Definitely not a good place. To much (illegal activities) going on in the back room. Ok. i will stop before i say to much lol

I think that the stores rep. rreflects the owner.

fortunately the location in kpt is closed for now. i had an appt there to have an alignment, balance and rotation. first i had to wait over an hour, then after watching them fool around for another hour just to be told that none of their equipment could fit the large bolt pattern of my wheels. 2 1/2 hours later i got out of there with nothing done.

I have seen some stuff the kingsport guys messed up and didnt tell the owner. Not cool if you ask me. If you break it atleast tell the owner dont try to hide it. Also seen some wheels they scratched up pretty bad also.

The Kingsport store has been closed. Brian and his family have moved to Cali. He had a couple of people that were steeling from him and he had enough of it. The other stores are open though.

you should have had kris kincer work on it and it wouldnt have happened . the illegal activity yes but all the guys no.
kris was the only guy they had that touched the expensive stuff. he tried to do all the cars but he only could do so much . he shoulda took the place over and it woulda been ok. but the rest of the people did and do suck
