Ok
It's now Carter co. turn.......let's get together and make a few Carter Co. children happier on Christmas.

What do you all think, a ride to the top w/ lunch at the hilton??

There are several spurs off the main trail and we can have several little groups shoot down these and clean up and with the deversity :? of the rigs we should make a good effort cleaning, riding, fellowshiping and giving.

After the ride we can go to the Sheriffs dept. and present our toys and maybe drop off the trash........have to check on that one tho'

Let's hear..........your thought's.

The BODs have something in work and will be announcing something in the next few days.

I'm definately up for the ride and clean up part of this. Plus what ever grace members decide to do.

Im up for this as well. This is a great idea, and since im not going to be able to make the Caliente run, this works out great.

Can we conglamorate this so that it coincides with, rather than overlaps the Toys For Tots run, meet and greet and dinner??

This will hopefully be all of stoney right?

It will be all of Stoney,we need to figure out how to coordinate with the BOD to get whatever we collect to them.........maybe someone in the area can get what we collect on monday.....Gordon? and then pass it along to someone who goes thru Bristol to grey on another small drop off?

I was thinking of an all day event with lunch etc on the trail.

Don't want to step on the meet and greet and every toy helps.

Any ideas?

And sinkinitup you can ride shotgun.

So how are we going to do this????????mmmmmmm

we still have a week or two to come up with something.

I think the BOD took care of the toys part, but we still need to take care of the clean up.

An all day event would conflict with the Toy Run and M & G, which I believe should be the Grace primary event for that day. I would really prefer we don't have two events overlapping.

Anyone wanting to run Stony could come to the toy run, then either go on to Stony around 2:00, or attend the Smokey Bones M & G and then hit Stony at around 4:00 pm. There again, my preference would be after the M & G.

This most likely will be the only M & G until spring, or at least late winter. We have got a lot of new members, and the toy run would give opportunity for them to get into the swing, as well as families, and so forth, which is all along the Christmas time theme. We will have fellowship time at TRU and at the Marines drop off, as well as at Bones.

I do believe clean-up is important, and am still working the issues with the FS. I believe, as a group thing, clean-ups in late winter, after the holidays pass, would garner more members and act as a kick off into our spring season. This prior to heavy growth beginning, but after trails open back up.

Doing it this way would cut the conflict.

Speaking as one of those new members, I would love to come to the Bones meet. I am definitely going to participate in the T4T but don't know when I can get there. I have a previous engagement and don't know how long it will last (3 or 4ish).
G, I will bring a toy or donation by the OTPH if that would be ok? We are supposed to have a lunch break at my event but again, I can't be sure of the time.

....G, I will bring a toy or donation by the OTPH if that would be ok?...

That would be fine, and if there's any way you can join the group, either for eats or the ride afterwards, that would be great. There are always seats, or you could break in the Lexus.

Hate to do this but since it was a conflict w/ the t4t run being done as a club,It actually works out better.

I am going to cancel this run right now,do to all the work it's taking to set up and get the toys for kids in the city/county program going.
I didn't realize what all it takes, but it is going great :smokin:
we actually where able to come up with almost 40 toys etc. from last weekends event,it was a huge success.

Maybe we can plan a ride cleanup of trash for the middle of january, again I am sorry this didn't work out,but in the end it's all good for the kids.

If anyone was/is planning to give a toy, please direct the toy to another member who can get it to the T4T run.

Here's the thread for the "post T4T's run".

And, so as to end any confusion, I am going to close this thread - just for confusion's sake, not because of anything negative.

Thanks all -
