Is anyone interested in riding after Christmas @ Harlan? I'm thinking about leaving the morning of the 26th to go, and leaving the 28th or 29th to come home. Let me know if interested. Johnny Sherman

I have reserved a house in Everts. I still have room for a few more people if anyone needs a place to stay. The price is like $20.00, or so a night. Let me know. Johnny

If I have to work any that week, I'll be up for Harlan. If they let me off work the whole week, I'll be in Arkansas.

We will be in around 12:00 noon on the 26th. We will be riding the 26,27,28 and leaving probably pretty early on the 29th. We will be staying at Nancy McLains home in Everts. I'd love to ride with some of the KYMC group. Feel free to call so we can set up times to meet and ride.

I went to Harlan today and tried out the JK, it did really good. It has the new dana 44 rear with "Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle" whatever that is and seems to perform like a limited slip, I would get to a place where an open dif rig should spin and it would spin slightly before going on.

Ben went with Johnny Sherman, they met up with the guy who has Hilla's old XJ and the guy doesn't know anything but wide open, he broke a front hub, axle and steering box on lower damnation so they spent the whole day getting him out...I guess they got him out they were still working on it at 4:00

We worked 6 hours to get Todd Courtney out of lower damnation. We had to use ratchet straps to keep the tires turned straight. He broke on the second ledge. The last ledge was really hard to come up, because the tires kept wanting to turn. Frank(from Everts) had an idea  to use car ramps off a trailer to ramp the ledge. Todd and my son Jordan went and got Todds truck and trailer, and drove to lower rock garden. They carried the ramps "up" the hill to lower damnation. The ramps worked great, keep this in mind for future recovery. So once we got Todd up and out of L.D. we winched him off the hill that goes down to lower rock garden. Todd had his winch hooked to Bens YJ. Then with a little work we got the cherokee on the trailer. What a days work, in the rain. We broke at about 2:00 pm and we got back to the house at 8:00 pm. Thank God for a great recovery and a chance to show a little of His love. Thanks to Ben also for all his help and prayers.

It was a long, cold, wet day. But all things considered, it was still a good day. Johnny did an outstanding job orchestrating a difficult recovery, and he also cooked up a mean supper. :smokin:

I talked with Todd last night and he swears he was taking it easy :) Kidding aside, he does hit it pretty hard at times but I think a lot of that is trying to learn what the rig will do in certain circumstances. Sorry I missed that episode though, kudos to Johnny, Jordan and Ben for showing His love! Heard Larry had some breakage also? I'm planning to come up with a few others for the workday on Jan 12th, see you all then.
