Hey guys, just now got the chance to register and reply. I met a few of you guys last weekend at Black Mountain, I was one of the "tag-along girl scouts" as someone said on the radio. I'm from West Liberty, Kentucky (about 90 miles east of Lexington). I was baptized in April 1997, I am happily married to my high school sweetheart and have two wonderful sons. I'm a deacon at the West Liberty Christian Church, High School youth sponsor, teach senior high sunday school, and I'm trying to play bass guitar in our praise team. Our youth minister was with me on the ride, he's one of my best friends. I spoke to a gentleman in a white XJ. I enjoy my church activities, Cub Scouts with my son, playing with my sons, and of course Jeepin'.
My Jeep is a 1991 Wrangler, 4.11 gears, rear Lock-right (D35), D30 up front with XJ axle shaft to rid myself of the disco, 4.0 I6, 4 inch Rough Country Lift, 33x12.50 Cooper STT, $300 Harbor Freight 8000lb winch (which by the way works great!), black steel 15x10 USWheel, and 1 1/2" lift shackles. After going to Black Mountain and looking around, I'm currently on the search for a F150 or preferably an F250 set of axles locally to upgrade with a SOA.
I will keep a check with you, I plan on working this winter on my Jeep to get ready for spring. I don't mind traveling 4-5 hours for wheeling, but I can't do that every month, maybe once ever couple months. I look forward to wheeling with you guys!
By the way, the scripture below is the theme for our senior high youth group, "ONE".

Bill, he caught up to us at the tower while we were waiting on Jason. Actually, he was right behind me coming up by that ATV flip and saw the Grace decal. We chatted while you took the rest of the group down to the CC.

Yea, my friend Dwayne and myself were meandering our way back to Bailey's Creek and wanted to check out as many Class 3 or so trails as we could. We had just finished Mason Jar with my Jeep and Dwayne's, so our confidence level was high. Dwayne has a 1993 G-Cherokee, re-built/changed out his T-case to 231 guts so he's got part-time, got rid of the CV axle joints, 2 inch lift spaces and 235 Goodyears on it. He's getting ready to sell it (had an offer before he left) and by a local 1989 Jeep YJ.
SolarTJ, did you have a D60 HP in your YJ? I also noticed your YJ seemed to be stretched in the rear (d60 or 14 bolt?). I would like to do the same thing to my Jeep, even if I end up with a D44/9-inch combo in my YJ. Any pointers on the stretch?
BTW, I do have a Facebook account if anyone out here has it and wants to add me as a friend.
Well, I better get in the bed, I just got back from a weekend at Gatlinburg with our High School Youth. We had a fall retreat titled Focus, it was great, but you know how High Schoolers are, they never want to sleep.

So you guys are the reason I couldn't get a room this weekend....;)
Mine is a 14bolt in the rear stretched back 12" and the front is pushed forward 2" using a HP44HD. I can't take credit for doing any of that though. HotRodYJ on here did all that work before I got the Jeep. I am getting ready to convert it from coilspring in the back and leaf in the front to coilovers all the way around. Going to take the 3" body lift off, and redo the back half of the frame to allow it to sit back down. Should push the engine back and raise it up to run a flat skid too. Just waiting on time and money to allow it.

Money's always an issue. I'm still looking around, but I may have a line on a D44/9-inch pair for less than 400 for both. If I can come in pretty cheap on the axles, I'm doing my SOA this winter ASAP!

Welcome. And that is my setup except on an xj. I love it, but no axle swap is cheap. bearings, gears, lockers, setups, brakes etc. My recommendation is spend time gathering parts then when you have everything then swap it. I piled parts in the garage for 2 years. This way you can keep wheeling.
