Anyone needing u-bolts or spring re-arched this is your place. I got 4 custom square u-bolts today for $20. He made them in about 5 minutes.

To re-arch a spring, they litterally put them in a press and bend them, so yes, eventually they will likely loose at least part of the re-arch and flatten back out a little.

yes, but you have to move your front spring hanger as the chevys are 63' long vs the 52(?) a toyota are

It's not hard at all. Whack the front hanger off ( on the back ) and either buy or make a new one put it, i'm thinking, around 7 inches forward of the other, on the back you can either go with a double shackle or move the rear shackle mount back 3-4" ( I can't remember the numbers, you just mock it up by holding the spring up to it ). You can measure mine if you want.
Oh, and Spring Service does good work, if you don't mind walking into that dungeon they call a garage :)

I hope that rearched springs hold up well because I just picked up my rear springs today from Spring Service in Charlotte. I bent the left rear spring when we were up at Harlan, and had the choice of spending $350 to buy a new set of rear leafs, or to spend $80 to get them re-arched. I took them to Spring Service yesterday and picked them up today.

I'll let y'all know how they hold up after I have had a chance to break them in... 8)

Odd, a memory comes to mind....

Crazy man on the rocks and me spotting him over an obsticle. Then he gets cought and I hear the V8 power up. I start running while smelling burning rubber and hear viscous bangs and clanks.

Sorry, flashback for the old days.... we are better now. :bounce:

It's a shame that George went to sleep while all that was going on, and he didn't catch it on tape. You know how it is when you start to get old though. One minute you're awake and alert, and the next minute you sleep through an earthquake...

For some strange reason, people seem to think I am a little heavy on the go-pedal. I don't understand where they get that idea. I am a perfectly calm, cool, and collected, granny type driver... No, waite a minute. Maybe that was someone else :?:

Why were you running George? None of those flying rocks could have been bigger than your head. :pirate:
