I really like that Jeep, there's just something about it...maybe the color...I don't know, I just liked it the first time I saw it.

looks good. You need some spacers for the rear :)

Why didn't you run the center caps on the new ones?

That's what I'm talking about....

Center caps will just eventually get destroyed. Just get you some flat black, and spray bomb the hub behind the wheel.

Yeah man those tires really look good on it. Glad I could help.

I also would spray them with a cleaner to help keep them looking good. Plus they say having cleaner stuff on them helps in Mud. Also keeps the Mudd easyier to clean off.

STEERING BOX SWAP:

Swapped out the TJ box for a 98 Durango box. The swap was pretty straight forward and painless, minus two broken pitman arm pullers and a broken bolt head. I found the box for 50.00 at a bone yard, that an a qrt of steering fluid was the only out of pocket costs.

Used this link as a guide. http://www.universityofjeep.ca/Tech/Durango/Steering_box_conversion.html

First test drive: there was a noticeable difference in the feel of the new box. Tighter feel and only 3 turns to lock. The jury is still out on the comparison, the steering wheel is off by a 1/4 turn due to pitman arm alignment issue, so I’m going to get an alignment tomorrow.

I'll report back after a week of driving.

Im really astonished at the ease of switching the boxes. I will be doing that upgrade very soon

UPDATE:
It will be a week tomorrow that I put in the Durango steering box...and I'm glad I did.

The improvements in steering could be due to a new box (mine had some slack in it and was leaking) an alignment or both. Either way, I would recommend this upgrade, the boxes are cheaper than a stock replacement and some say they are stronger.
