Here it is, my 97 4runner. Specs are in my sig, but if anything else is wondered feel free to ask. I am also new here, so hey to everyone!I got my TJM-17 put on, and am saving for a warn m8000 now. After that probably an e-locker in the rear. I am pleased so far with everything on it, and its a good trail truck
im sure something else will come up

Greeneville. Sorry, I am still trying to get all of this information filled out on here, ha. But thanks for the compliments! It's far from finished(very far.....85 solid axle swap will be the last thing I do), but I am very happy with the quality of the truck so far.

On a 97 you would be better of taking a DSD waggy axle and using it. The 85 axle will be on the wrong side of the transfer case. You have a great start for alot of fun. Be carefull and take your time. You runner looks good. Keep up the buildup info. Rob

Could I not just get a marlin crawler right handed taco box, I'm pretty sure it would work fine then. Also, I'm sorry I forgot to mention a new marlin crawler case is in my future list(or possibly dual, who knows!)

Nice looking Runner. These trucks are great with the IFS, but I'm sure with a SAS they would be even better. I used to have alot of fun when I was wheelin' the Tacoma, but just remember to AVOID MUD with that Injen intake. I blew a motor because of it.

Thanks guys. As far as the intake, yeah, I clean it as soon as I get home from any kind of mud, but I think injen makes some kind of shield or bag or something to go over it so mud/water won't get in your filter for when you need to keep it clean.....I will be investing in one very soon. Also, hopefully when I get some free time at the begining of November, I can hit up some trails with you guys! Maybe the TJM and winch will be on by then.....who knows!

if it were me i would pass on a tjm and have a bumper custom made. they look good but arent as beefy as i would like. i used to have one but i took it off for my SAS and sold it because it wouldnt bolt up again cause there is now a spring hanger in the way. for the SAS i suggest going with a driver side drop axle out of a waggy instead of the yota axle. for one u will have to get a passenger side drop tcase and adapter. the stock marlin case wont bolt up without adapters. also the axle is to narrow for our generation trucks. i have a 98 and my front axle out of a waggy is just barely wide enough. im still debating wheel spacers. the waggy axle is 60.5 WMS and the toyota is in the mid 50s. so a good bit narrower than you would want. more trouble than its worth. as for dual cases marlin and inchworm both make left hand output cases. thats the way i would suggest you go. also dual cases out here is a bit to much of a crawl ratio for this side of the country. u start pushing dual cases and you are in the 200+:1 ratio in 1st gear which gives you no wheel speed for the muddy wet rocks we deal with over here. one geared tcase with a 120:1 is about all u need. check out inchworms "lefty" tcase. seems pretty cool and i will hopefully be in the market soon for one but an engagment ring bit into my truck fund. thats all the mindless rambling i can do right now but let me know if you have any questions cause i was in the same spot as you about 6 months ago.

Thanks for all of the info! Do you know of a place locally that fabs up front bumpers? I'm on yotatech.com forums alot, and a ton of guys have them on the other side of the country fabbed up, but I don't know anyone here who does it. I'm sure there is someone, I just don't know where to find who would....any help is appreciated!

Paycheck time, which means new parts! Trying to decide what sliders I want, but I am thinking about these(look at the deluxe model) http://www.stubbswelding.com/rocksliders.htm
I am going to email for prices. Also, I am looking for a good handheld GPS, and am looking at a Garmin 60CSx https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=145&pID=310#
I know the GPS might be a little off topic, but am wondering if anyone has any experiences with one of these? Thanks!

TJM finally got some bumpers back in stock, so I went ahead and got a TJM-17 front winch bumper....a custom bumper would have looked better and been built better I know, but price was a major factor here, and some 4runner pals of mine have been pleased with their TJM's. Anyways, pics will be posted when I get it in and put on!
