Weekend fun included oil change, radiator flush and some cosmetic alterations. Flat black(ed) the headlight bezels and the chrome fog light housings. This was my first custom change since getting my TJ...I think it turned out pretty good.

Looks very good! If you do the same to your flares that TJ will be looking very sharp

Krylon Fusion spray paint works well on the plastic fender flares. I did the ones on my XJ and they turned out great.

did you use any primer? I did for the chrome stuff, but with the flares being black already I wasn't sure if I would need to or not....

I wouldn't think you need to primer the flares. Just tape off the body and spray!!!

I took mine off completely. The can says that you don't have to prime, sand or anything. I just washed mine down with Dawn dish detergent and let them air dry. If I had it to do over again I would use a Red 3M Scotchbrite pad on them and then wash them down with Dawn again. They still held up well though even after being hit in the wreck.

Yeah, I would just make sure they're really clean and have at it. I've seen it done on some XJs and it seems to hold up well. Definitely take them off to spray the though.

all taped off... I heard it was MUCH easier just to tape it than to take them off
