Most of you have at least saw a pic of my Zuki, and I'm changing it a little. Here's what it looked like before...http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x19/aquaticwonders/Samurai/Zukiside.jpg I am painting it Hunter Green, and I have removed the snorkel. I also filled all of the holes from the snorkel, the holes that the previous owner had siliconed up, and the holes for the mirrors. The mirrors will be moved to the window pillar to allow me to run doorless and not have the police harass me. I'll post more pics as I continue working on it.

And here it sits in primer. I got the first coat of paint on tonight, and will put another coat on tomorrow. I'll hopefully get some pics up tomorrow night to show the color.

Haven't got that far yet. I'm trying to get it painted before it rains again. If I get the 2nd coat on early tomorrow, then I'm going to try and get it started again.

Hey, Ken I have some 8-1 gears in a case with newer output shaft still. 900 and we'll swap cases, looking better than when I had it compcut it and stretch it or at least cut the fender flare mounts off and make it look like a SJ presamurai. I think I even have an older SJ grill it's really metal no plastic. The money from the samurai went to rebuild my ear glad to see you rebuilding "zuknamedstich" old sammy.

OK, I pulled off the tape, and here's how the hood looks now. I'm taking today off to rest, and will work on it again tomorrow. Joe, I like the t-case that's in it now, as I'll be going to Yota's hopefully soon. I'll be doing some cutting once I figure out how I want to cut it and get some bumpers.

golly I can 't belive thats the same Zuke, I am so used to seeing it with the older ppaint scheme. So how hard was it to paint?

the painting part was actually pretty easy. I wish that I had gotten some strainers, as some "flakes" made it through the gun. I have some runs, but for my first paint job, I'm pretty impressed. The paint actually dried quicker that I thought, and I think it will hold up good. It took around 2 hours to do one coat, but that included mixing paint, etc.

don't worry about the runs, the rocks and trees will rub them out
