Brotherhood Cookout and Shoot (Buns and Guns) August 17th

I am on days, I will be there with guns and shells. It will be the first time that the AK has been shot.

I happen to have an Un-churched co-worker friend that recently retired and now......get this.....works at a GUN SHOP :grin:

I plan on attending and bringing atleast one other person.
Hopefully, my bud will bring some toys.

If I can't make it until about 6 and bring a 30-30, Mossberg 500 police shotgun (18.5" barrel) with slug and buck is that ok, or is this just long gun (military type) shooting? How about handguns?

I've had Humvees with M60s and Tanks with 50cals there so about anything goes.

On a side note I shot a ground hog from my bedroom window Friday night and a crow today after church with a 22 at 100 yards ##(

Don't have a gun? Come out & enjoy the fellowship - I'll bring out a few extra 12gauge (slugs, .00, or just "plinkin" shot & .45(ACP) rounds.

Bring some .308 "plinkin" ammo and I'll let anyone demo the Rem700 Sniper rifle :wink:

My bud with the Styr 50 just had his second heart attack - although he apprears to be alright, the doctors want him out of the heat until some test are ran Monday.

I told him he could set in the truck with the air conditioning on and shoot from the window :shock:

Guys I have the rock garden area bush-hogged so if anyone wants to they can come early and play for a while, the shooting will start at 6:00 and end at 8:00 so we can ride refore and after that.

That was so much fun. George again, Thank You for the event. I had a great time. There were plenty of guns and amo. Whoever missed it just missed out on a great time of being around some cool stuff.

I never suspected that many kids coming to shoot - pretty cool seeing Dads teaching their sons & daughters. O and letting one another test out their weapons...
