You have a wj, not a yj. If you have an aamco in your area they will check it out for free.

And will tell you that you need a full rebuild regardless of the problem.

watch those tranny places.....my dad took a f150 to have them do a "free" check because the truck wouldnt shift into overdrive. 2hrs later we went to pick the truck up and they said they didnt find any metal shavings or anything in the pan...ect but it should be rebuilt. we decided to hold off because the truck wasnt used that often. we pulled out into the road and the truck wouldnt shift out of first gear. took it back to them and they pretty much said "too bad" so we ended up having to have the tranny rebuilt...but didnt have them do it.
